Lenten Worship Schedule
Palm Sunday worship - March 28th - 9:55 a.m. - Procession of palms
Maundy Thursday - Thursday, April 1st - 6:00 p.m.
This will be a simple candlelight meal eaten in silence during which you will listen to several readings. The meal will end with a silent sharing of the Lord’s Supper around the table. Then we will enter the sanctuary for a final worshipexperience, followed by the stripping of the sanctuary in which all those things of beauty, light, and comfort are removed which Jesus and his followers (including us) would have loved.
We will end the night with an unaccompanied hymn as we exit.
Good Friday - April 2nd - Church open all day
Noon to 3:00 - Scripture readings and prayer
Worship Service - 6:00 p.m.
This is a brief worship service held in the stripped, darkened sanctuary. We will hear from those who were present during Jesus’ last hours. The choir will add to our experience with music that reflects the mood of those last hours.
